PURPOSE: A device for inspecting a tire or a tire wheel is provided to obtain a proper lighting effect to a target object by using diffused lights and the reflected lights thereof, thereby easily performing an outer shape inspection using images of the tire or the tire wheel. CONSTITUTION: A device(1) for inspecting a tire or a tire wheel comprises a frame(100), a conveying unit(200), a light source(300), a light diffusion plate(400), cameras(610,620), and an image processor. The conveying unit is connected to the lower part of the frame and transports a target object(S), which is selected between the tire and the tire wheel, to the inside of the frame. The light source is installed on the upper part of the frame and irradiates straight lights to the target object. The light diffusion plate is interposed between the light source and the target object in a horizontal direction and generates diffused lights becoming diffused around the target object by changing an optical path of the straight lights. The camera faces the target object and photographs the same, thereby obtaining surface images of the target object. The image processor includes an image converting unit, an image inspecting unit, and an output unit.
