<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil treatment method capable of treating soil in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating soil contaminated by radioactive cesium includes the steps of: inserting soil in a closed revetment; installing, in the revetment, a positive pole and a negative pole each having an electrode vessel that stores an electrode and electrolytic solution and has a porous barrier membrane; acidifying the soil; applying a DC current to the positive pole and the negative pole; and moving positive ions containing radioactive cesium ions eluted in the soil, towards the electrode of the positive pole via the porous barrier membrane of the positive pole and recovering the positive ions in the electrolytic solution stored in the electrode vessel of the positive pole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
