<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of sufficiently enhancing player's interest in a prior performance without discouraging a player with a performance content of the prior performance. <P>SOLUTION: When a performance mode at prior determination is a latent probability mode, it is determined whether to shift to a read-ahead mode by distribution in a high-probability state in a shift lottery table so long as a lottery probability of a jackpot lottery is in a high-probability state. In contrast, when a lottery probability of jackpot lottery is in a low-probability state, it is determined whether to shift to the read-ahead mode by distribution in the low-probability state in the shift lottery table.
