<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant oil composition for transmissions having both a high viscosity index and high shear stability. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant oil composition for transmissions is characterized by containing 1 to 80 mass% inclusive of a base oil having a 40°C kinematic viscosity of 0.5 to 20 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/s inclusive and a viscosity index of 200 or more.
