SURGICAL PORTAL WITH SEAL SYSTEM Abstract A surgical access system for passage of a surgical object, which comprises: an access assembly including: a housing (108); and an elongated access member extending s from the housing (108), the access member dimensioned for passage through body tissue; and a surgical seal assembly (200) including: a seal mount (216) defining a seal axis and being at least partially positionable within the housing of the access assembly, the seal mount (216) having a resilient seal member (218) mounted thereto, the seal member (218) defining inner seal portions (230) adapted to form a substantial seal about a surgical io object, the seal mount (216) including a plurality of peripherally disposed apertures (224) whereby anchoring segments of the seal member are received within the apertures to facilitate securing of the seal member to the seal mount. |
