<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the tension of a hot rolled steel sheet, and a method of manufacturing the same capable of improving the yield ratio by suppressing tension variation between a final rolling machine and a pinch roll even when exerting strong cooling required when manufacturing an ultrafine grain steel, and capable of avoiding troubles leading to the stop of production. <P>SOLUTION: The method of controlling the tension of a hot rolled steel, and the method of manufacturing the hot rolled steel sheet using the method above, manufactures the hot rolled steel sheet using an apparatus which includes: a final rolling machine 1 in a finishing rolling machine line; a cooling device 2 installed at the exit side of the final rolling machine; and a pinch roll 3 installed at the exit side of the cooling device and abutting with vertical both surfaces of a steel sheet S. When starting to cool with the cooling device at a preset timing after the tip end of the steel sheet reaches the pinch roll, and the tension of the steel sheet between the final rolling machine in the finishing rolling machine line and the pinch roll is established, the method predicts the length change of the steel sheet generated by the temperature change due to cooling, and fixes the speed of the pinch roll 3 based on the predicted value of the length change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
