<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery that includes a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material composed of a lithium-containing phosphate compound excellent in stability in crystal structure. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery according to the present invention includes an electrode body including a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode contains a granular positive electrode active material mainly composed of a lithium-containing phosphate compound represented by the formula: Li<SB POS="POST">x</SB>M[P<SB POS="POST">(1-Y)</SB>A<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>]O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, where M represents one or more kinds of elements selected from the group consisting of Ni, Mn, Fe, and Co, 0<x≤2, 0<Y≤0.15, and A represents a pentavalent metallic element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
