INPAINTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR H.264 ERROR CONCEALMENT IMAGE

PURPOSE: An inpainting system for a H.264 error concealment image and a method thereof are provided to improve image quality by applying proper restoration according to a distortion degree. CONSTITUTION: A filtering unit(100) minimizes a noise in an input image by using low frequency filtering. An edge detecting unit(200) performs Canny edge detection for obtaining information about an outline shape of the input image. An outline detecting unit(300) executes PPHT(Progressive Probabilistic Hough Transform) by using outline information. An inpainting unit(300) applies inpainting to a straight line segment area.
