<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock capable of protecting a solar cell while reducing the thickness thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic clock 1 includes: a gear 47 having a cylindrical part 471 having a pointer 3 (an hour hand 33) and a gear part 472 engaging with the other gear; a dial plate 22 having a hole part 221 into which the cylindrical part 471 is inserted; and a solar cell 5 disposed between the gear part 472 and a rear surface 22R of the dial plate 22. The solar cell 5 includes a hole part 5H into which the cylindrical part 471 is inserted, a power generation part 5A which generates power by incident light, and a non-power generation part 5B positioned in the surroundings of a hole part 5H.
