<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that suppresses an adverse influence by heat when an abnormal rise in temperature has occurred in the fixing device, an image forming apparatus, and a fixing control method. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a motor unit 106a that drives a motor M for rotating a fixing belt, and a fixing unit 106b that performs heating control on the basis of detection signals from a central part temperature detection sensor 27 arranged in a central part of a heating roller and an edge part temperature detection sensor 28 arranged in an edge part of the heating roller. When the surface temperature of the heating roller detected by the central part temperature detection sensor 27 and the edge part temperature detection sensor 28 has increased to be equal to or more than a rotation start temperature that is set lower than a heat-resistant temperature of a device body, the fixing device controls the fixing belt to rotate for a predetermined period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
