<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded body having electrical isolation suitable for an electrical/electronic component and excellent in thermal conductivity in a thickness direction and strength, a method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition to obtain the molded body. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the thermoplastic resin composition, using a melt-kneading extrusion machine provided with a cylinder and a screw positioned within the cylinder, by supplying (A) a thermoplastic resin, (B) alumina fine particles, and (C) a fibrous filler material to the cylinder via a supply port provided in the cylinder, and melt-kneading the components includes cooling the mixture extruded from the nozzle of the melt-kneading extrusion machine to the exterior thereof at a cooling rate of 35°C/second or lower.
