PURPOSE: An astrophysical observatory including an automatic sliding roof is provided to allow a user to conveniently observe various directions by being automatically opened and by not needing to install or remove an astrophysical observation device each time. CONSTITUTION: An astrophysical observatory including an automatic sliding roof comprises an observation room(10), a following pinion, an upper and lower guide roller, a sliding roof, a roof slider, an upper rack, a lower rack, a power shaft, and a driving pinion. A roof guide rail is integrally installed on the upper external surface of a wall in the observation room, and a door(14) is installed on a front wall(11). A pair of sliding roofs(40,40a) is installed on the upper part of the observation room to face each other, and the upper part of the observation room is opened. The upper rack is attached on the bottom surface of one side of the roof slider and is engaged with the upper part of the following pinion. The lower rack is attached on the upper surface of the other side of the roof slider and is engaged with the lower part of the following pinion.
