An endless conveyer comprises two belts 1 (one only shown) disposed in side-by-side relationship and joined by laterally disposed article-carrying bars 5. Each belt is formed with teeth 9 which are adapted to engage laterallyprojecting teeth 15 on a drive-wheel 11 (Fig. 6). The periphery of the wheel 11 between each pair of teeth 15 is shaped as shown in broken lines 14 so as to engage a recess 10 formed centrally of the inner periphery of the belt 1. The bars 5 engage lugs 3 formed in the belt 1 and may be retained by a pin 7. Instead of two lugs 3 there may be a single lug which may extend the whole width (Fig. 2, not shown), or half the width (Fig. 4, not shown) of the belt. The belt is jointed as shown at 17 (Fig. 7). |
