PURPOSE: A bacterial leaf blight resistant gene in a rice plant is provided to obtain strong rice plant against diseases, and to enhance yield. CONSTITUTION: A rice plant-derived nRDK42 protein is related to disease resistance or growth and has nRDK42 amino acid. A gene encodes nRDK42 protein. A recombinant vector contains the gene. A plant which is transformed using nRDK42 gene has resistance to bacterial leaf blight.
