The aid (8) has a slide portion (17) extending from a longitudinal end (19) over a longitudinal portion between 20% and 50% of length of a carrier layer and over a whole width of the carrier layer. A climbing aid portion (16) partially covers in a width direction and is formed regarding a longitudinal direction of the carrier layer in connection to the slide portion. The climbing aid portion is extended regarding the longitudinal direction of the carrier layer to another longitudinal end (20) of the carrier layer without breaking. The slide portion is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a ski.
