Method and device for determining the separation efficiency or carrying out a leak test in a filter assembly

The method involves rendering a test aerosol in a flow direction of gas volume flow by a feeding element (17) before a filter arrangement (2) in a raw gas stream. Measurement of particle quantity and/or determination of particle concentration of the test aerosol is carried out in the direction behind the arrangement in a clean gas stream by a receiving element (26) for partial volume flow of a clean gas stream. The receiving element is moveable over a cross section (31) of the arrangement. The feeding element for the test aerosol is moved perpendicular to the direction of the gas volume flow. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining filtration efficiency and for performing a leak test during separating an aerosol from gas volume flow with a filter arrangement.
