Preparing composite parts comprises providing a thermoformable polyurethane-hard foam and adhering the thermoformable polyurethane-hard foam with a covering material using an adhesive, preferably a moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive, where the adhesive is cured when contacted with an aqueous alkali metal solution. An independent claim is included for the composite parts obtained by the above method.
