PURPOSE: An application using method, a gateway using the same, a terminal using the same, and a communication system using the same are provided to enable various terminals using different browsers to commonly use the same application by storing the decompressed application data in a storage device. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(353) receives a transmission request of an application from a terminal. A control unit(357) receives the application from an application providing server according to the transmission request and decompresses the application to store the same in a storage device. The control unit extracts a script file to manage the execution of the application from the decompressed application to update a list of applications stored in the storage device.
