Compressed fuel comprises: 40-60 wt.% of a lavender stem of which 95 wt.% has a diameter of 0.3 mm to 2.5 cm; and 20-30 wt.% of coniferous tree sawdust, where the fuel has a water content of 5-15 wt.%. An independent claim is included for producing a fuel comprising crushing the lavender stem particles, mixing the crushed particles with the coniferous tree sawdust to obtain a mixture having a water content of 12-23 wt.%, compressing the mixture to obtain a compressed mixture and drying the compressed mixture to obtain the fuel.
