PURPOSE: A load measuring device and a structure supporting device using the same are provided to install a cable while precisely measuring the tension of the cable such as a suspension bridge and a cable-stayed bridge where the high tension is applied. CONSTITUTION: A load measuring device(100) comprises a groove member(110), a wedge member(120), a wedge downside member(140), a wedge upside member(130), a wedge member support unit(160), and a load cell(170). The groove member includes a groove unit(111) and wall units arranged in both sides of the groove unit. The wedge member received in the groove unit is installed to be movable horizontally and has the upside and the downside which becomes narrower to one direction. The wedge downside member received in the groove unit is in contact with the downside of the wedge member, and has the upside of an inclination identical to the downside of the wedge member. The wedge upside member received in the groove unit is installed to be movable vertically and has the downside which is arranged to be inclined with respect to the upside of the wedge downside member. The wedge member support unit supports the wedge member at a specific position of the wall units or supports the wedge member by moving horizontally. The load cell is installed in between at least one of the wedge upside member, the wedge downside member, and the wedge member and the wedge member support unit.
