<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic surge suppressor having improved durability with repeated use and excellent discharge properties. <P>SOLUTION: An electrostatic surge suppressor 100 includes: an insulating laminate 11; a pair of discharge electrodes 12 and 13 inside the insulating laminate 11; and a discharge inducing part 14 provided between the discharge electrodes and around the ends of the discharge electrodes. In the electrostatic surge suppressor, insulating layers 15 and 16 including a glassy material are disposed on the surfaces of the discharge electrodes. By providing the insulating layers including a glassy material on the surfaces of the discharge electrodes, an outflow of a conductive inorganic material in the discharge electrodes to the discharge inducing part due to discharge is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
