<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device capable of emitting ions at high concentration while keeping excellent balance between charge recovery capability and charge supply capability. <P>SOLUTION: An ion generating device 1 of the present invention includes: a duct 10 for forming a channel of a gas medium; an ion generator 60 for emitting ions into the channel; a plurality of conductive members 31 to 33 provided for the duct 10, the members 31 to 33 being separated from each other along the channel; and a plurality of resistors 41 to 43 connected to the plurality of conductive members, respectively and being able to be grounded electrically.
