<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion device which allows even a rider having no physical strength nor surfing experience to ride on the wave crest in a pushing-out manner by wave force by utilizing the wave force to a maximum without paddling. <P>SOLUTION: A propulsion device b1 can receiving the force of foaming wave called "soup" of the knee height or the like by a board in which the total body of a rider is completely afloat while the rider expects good waves in a face-down manner, is provided on a board tail upper part. The propulsion device has an integrated shape by using a material of high elasticity, and can be easily mounted on a surfboard on the market.
