<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a so-called self-order type ordering system whereby a customer at a restaurant places an order by operating a terminal on his own and goes to pick up the food himself. The ordering system includes the following: an order information storage unit that, in association with information related to food ordered by that customer, stores customer identification information and location identification information that identifies the location where a customer is seated; a food information storage unit that stores information related to food provided at the restaurant; an order processing unit that displays, on a mobile terminal used by a customer and on a table-top terminal installed at a location where a customer is seated, information regarding food items stored in the food information storage unit, that receives, from the mobile terminal and the table-top terminal, information related to food ordered by a customer, and that stores the information related to food ordered by the customer in the order information storage unit in association with the customer identification information and the location identification information; and a service processing unit that, upon receiving information that the food ordered by the customer is ready, sends a notification to the mobile terminal and the table-top terminal that the ordered food is ready.</p> |
