The present invention relates to a power saving outlet. According to the present invention, it is possible to cut off power by a simple operation for rotating a rotary switch of the outlet at the state where a plug is plugged into the outlet, thus saving electrical energy flowing along electronic devices not in use. Further, power can be automatically cut off when electrical/electronic devices are not in use even without pulling the plug out from the outlet, thereby preventing waste of power (stand-by power consumption) caused by microcurrent flowing through the plug plugged into the outlet. Further, according to the present invention, electrical safety accidents are prevented, harmful electromagnetic waves are cut off and the service life of home appliances is extended. Further, an operating structure for cutting off power during an operation of a rotary switch is simple, thus enabling the outlet of the present invention to be used over a long period of time without faulty operation and reducing manufacturing cost and facility investment costs. Further, an operating sound is issued and light is emitted during operation of the rotary switch, enabling a user to easily detect whether the power is cut off.
