SUPPLEMENTAL WATER STOPCOCK FOR STORAGE BATTERY

This supplemental water stopcock for a storage battery has: a water supply inlet into which water supplied from the outside flows; a supplemental water inlet by which the supplemental water is discharged into a battery case; a float (3) that moves up and down with the height of the liquid surface of an electrolyte within the battery case; and a valve chamber (31). Furthermore, the valve chamber (31) has: a water inlet (32) that is linked to the water supply inlet; a first water discharge opening (35) that is linked to the supplemental water inlet and from which water from the valve chamber (31) is discharged; a first valve body (36) that moves in response to the float (3) and blocks the first discharge opening (35); a second discharge opening (38) that is linked to the supplemental water inlet and from which water from the valve chamber (31) is discharged; and a second valve body (39) that does not move directly in response to the first valve body (36) and blocks the second discharge opening (38). Thus, a supplemental water stopcock for a storage battery is provided which reliably stops water supplementation when the electrolyte liquid surface is restored to a prescribed height, and which is not prone to closing early.
