<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at low costs, a structure that can mitigate shocks generated when the lengthwise direction of a steering wheel is actively adjusted, and suppressing generation of sliding sound or vibration on the basis of rubbing between the inner surfaces of a pair of support plates constituting a support bracket and both width-direction side faces of a displacement bracket when the lengthwise position of the steering wheel is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: An elastic sleeve 36 is mounted inside a lengthwise long hole 25a formed in a displacement bracket 22a. An adjust rod 19a is inserted into the elastic sleeve 36. Elastic pieces 38 and 38 arranged on the lengthwise outer end surface of the elastic sleeve 36 are always elastically brought into contact with the inner side faces of both support plates 23a by an expansion/reduction mechanism within a range where an interval between the inner side faces of both support plates 23a can be expanded/reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
