MARINE VESSEL PROPULSION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid marine vessel propulsion device whose structure can be simplified.

SOLUTION: The marine vessel propulsion device 1 includes a propeller 5 capable of rotating around a propeller axis A2 and a duct 26 encircling the propeller 5 around the propeller axis A2. The propeller 5 has a plurality of vanes 30 and a cylindrical rim 31 encircling the vanes 30 around the propeller axis A2. The marine vessel propulsion device 1 also includes an internal combustion engine which rotates the propeller 5 to the duct 26 and an electric motor 7 which rotates the rim 31, thereby rotating the propeller 5 to the duct 26.
