<p>The invention relates to a method for producing incontinence pants (2) for absorbing bodily excretions. Said incontinence pants comprise a front stomach section (4) and a rear back section (6) which are interlinked during manufacture at both side seam zones (14) to define a closed waist opening (18). The pants further comprise a crotch section (8) holding an absorption body (7), which crotch section is undetachably joined to the stomach section (4) and the back section (6). First elasticating means (28) are provided in the stomach section (4) and the back section (6) and extend at a distance to each other and parallel in the cross or waist circumferential direction (16). Second elasticating means (40, 42) are provided in a crotch-side area (22, 26) of the stomach section (4) and the back section (6) facing the leg openings (19), said elasticating means extending from the two side seam zones (14) in a direction (56) towards a longitudinal center axis (44) of the incontinence pant (2) and fanning out at increasing distances in a curve. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: supplying crotch sections (8) holding absorption bodies (7), said crotch sections having cut-out sections for the legs (116), which cut-out sections are formed by a first contour cut (112); supplying two nonwoven part webs (122, 124) that define the later stomach section (4) or the later back section (6) of the incontinence article (2); supplying and applying the second elasticating means (40, 42) to the two part webs (122, 124) and immobilizing them thereon; combining the crotch sections (8) and the two part webs (122, 124) in such a manner that the crotch sections (8) overlap the part web (122) with one end in a longitudinal direction (9) at a right angle to the machine direction (120) and the other part web (124) with the other end, and the crotch sections (8) are interspaced in the machine direction (120), and immobilizing the crotch sections (8) and the part webs (122, 124) in the areas of overlap, and conveying the structure in the machine direction (120); supplying, applying and immobilizing the first elasticating means (28) in the machine direction (120) to the part webs (122, 124), carrying out a second contour cut (142) affecting the part webs (122, 124) on their edge sections (58, 60) facing each other to form substantially curved cut-out sections for the legs (146), folding the structure about a fold line (150), which extend in the machine direction (120), in such a manner that the one part web (122) comes to rest on the other part web (124); joining the superposed part webs (122, 124) at a right angle to the machine direction (120) at a distance to each other to form side seam zones (14) of the incontinence article (2) to be produced, and obtaining products that comprise a stomach section (4), a back section (6) and an interposed crotch section (8); carrying out a severing cut at a right angle to the machine direction (120) and obtaining individual finished incontinence articles (2).</p> |
