<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an anti-squeal shim which has excellent anti-squeal performance, whilst being durable, and well suited for mass production. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an anti-squeal shim includes the steps: providing a mainly vibration insulating sheet of a fibre reinforced vibration insulating material comprising reinforcement fibres, a filler material and a binder material; applying a mainly vibration absorbing layer on at least one side of the vibration insulating sheet to form a shim sheet; and cutting out individual anti-squeal shims from the shim sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
