An image processing device (10) for generating a set of depth data by using a first image and a second image captured at a different view point from one another is provided with: a parallax value calculation unit (11) for calculating the parallax values of representative pixels, which are a portion of the pixels within the first image, on the basis of the positional relationship between each representative pixel and a pixel corresponding to the respective representative pixel within the second image; a segmentation unit (12) for dividing the first image into multiple segments on the basis of the similarities between pixel values; and a depth data generation unit (13) for generating, for each segment, a set of depth data showing the depth corresponding to each segment by identifying the parallax value of each segment on the basis of the parallax values of the representative pixels contained in the respective segments. |
