<p>The ice braker is installed in a rear portion of a vehicle, where rotatable portions, such as brake wheel (1) or roller are arranged with carbide tips, particularly spikes under a vehicle for folding up the ice braker in normal operation. The ice braker is pressed on the road surface in an emergency via corresponding mechanism, such as rope, linkage or servo motor. The effective braking effect is obtained by bearings made of friction material, where the appropriate frictional resistance on the road is achieved by aligning the spikes on the road in the driving direction.</p> |
