<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a wide and long oriented film, free from the thickness unevenness in the width direction and the variation of the oriented direction, having excellent precision of optical characteristics and having an orientation axis inclined in a predetermined angle range to the winding direction. <P>SOLUTION: The long oriented film is manufactured. The long oriented film comprises a material having negative intrinsic birefringence value, has the orientation angel θ of 30-80° to the width direction, through at least a 1,300 mm width direction and the variation thereof is ≤1.0°, and has Nz coefficient of (-1.2 to -0.3) and the variation thereof is ≤0.10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
