<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a loom drive system, particularly for a weft search. <P>SOLUTION: A loom drive system includes a switching wheel (5) capable of being driven by a main drive motor (7). The switching wheel (5) can be axially displaced between at least two switching positions. In a first switching position, the switching wheel (5) is in drive connection with two groups of elements to be driven (9, 10, 11; 12, 13, 14), and in a second switching position, the switching wheel (5) is disengaged from one group of elements to be driven (12, 13, 14) of the two groups. The loom drive system further includes a device (15) activated when the drive connection with the one group is disengaged, and having a tooth element (22) engaging with a gear wheel (12) of the group of elements to be driven (12, 13, 14) which are disengaged from the switching wheel (5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
