<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler cutter which can suppress the thermal deterioration of a member on a vehicle body side opposed to the muffler cutter, can properly control a temperature of an internal exhaust gas, reduce the width of a gap formed between a vehicle body and the muffler cutter, and can further reduce exhaust noise even if a high-temperature combustion gas is emitted to the outside through an exhaust system piping. <P>SOLUTION: The muffler cutter 1 mounted to a tail pipe of a vehicle exhaust system includes: an exhaust pipe 2; a cylindrical heat insulation plate 3 provided to be coaxial with the exhaust pipe in the circumference of the exhaust pipe; and a filling material 4 interposed between the exhaust pipe and the cylindrical heat insulation plate. The filling material includes a heat radiation suppressing material 4a which is located at a vehicle body side at arrangement, and a heat promotion material 4b which is located at the opposite side to the vehicle body at arrangement where the heat conductivity of the heat radiation suppressing material is lower than that of the heat promotion material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
