<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for suspending magnetic particles accumulated on floors of mixing tubes. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises a reagent cartridge comprising a reagent holder for holding a plurality of tubes. The reagent holder holds a plurality of mixing tubes for holding particles mounted rotatably in the reagent holder, each of the mixing tubes comprising one slot positioned longitudinally. The system also comprises a motor having a linear actuator for engaging the slot and rotating the mixing tubes.
