摘要 <p>Provided are: a liquid crystal alignment agent that can form a liquid crystal alignment film that can increase response speed after UV irradiation without a decrease in the power to align vertically, even in a liquid crystal display element of a style that increases response speed after UV irradiation by processing in the same manner as in the PSA style using a liquid crystal to which a polymerizable compound is not added; a liquid crystal alignment film; and a liquid crystal display element. The liquid crystal alignment agent contains a polysiloxane (A) obtained by means of the hydrolysis/polycondensation of an alkoxysilane containing the alkoxysilane represented by formula (1) and the alkoxysilane represented by formula (3). Formula (1): R1Si(OR2)3 (R1 represents the structure of formula (2), and R2 represents an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms). Formula (2): Y1, Y2, Y3 are single bonds or the like, Y4 and Y5 are benzene rings or the like, Y6 is a hydrogen atom or the like, and n is an integer from 0 to 4. Formula (3): R3Si(OR4)3 (R3 being an acrylic group or the like and R4 being an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms or the like).</p>
