PURPOSE: A power saving device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to control a sleep period during a section of TBTT(Target Beacon Transmission Time). CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) receives NoA(Notice of Absence) information for a power saving mode. A control unit(100) controls a client terminal to enter into a power saving mode by using the NoA information. A power management unit(120) generates the NoA information for the power saving mode. The NoA setting unit confirms the change of the information by comparing the demand time and a data transmission section. When the change of the NoA is necessary, the NoA setting unit controls the sleep period of the NoA information.
