<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor that can prevent a working fluid in an intake path from being heated by heat from an oil pool without increasing the pressure loss of the working fluid in the intake path. <P>SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor 100A includes a compression mechanism 8, and a pressure container 6 for housing the compression mechanism 8. The compression mechanism 8 is immersed in the oil pool 12 formed at the bottom of the pressure container 6. An intake port 8a of the compression mechanism 8 and an intake tube (3 or 4) connected thereto forms an intake path (21 or 22). The pressure container 6 is provided therein with a retention chamber (3a or 4a) slightly communicating with the oil pool 12, and for retaining oil at least at a part of the periphery of the intake path in the oil pool 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
