<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an intercooler to an intake manifold without dividing the intake manifold, in an air intake cooling device in which a part of the intercooler attached to the intake manifold is arranged in a cylinder head. <P>SOLUTION: An air intake outlet hole 6 and a piping takeout hole 8 are used as means for attaching the intercooler 3 to the intake manifold 2. The air intake outlet hole 6 is a hole for introducing intake air into an air intake port of the cylinder head, and a hole for assembling the intercooler 3 into the intake manifold 2. The piping takeout hole 8 is a hole which orthogonally intersects with the air intake outlet hole 6, and exposes a piping joint 7 to the outside of the intake manifold 2. Firstly, the piping joint 7 is inserted into the air intake outlet hole 6, and the piping joint 7 is inserted into the piping takeout hole 8 from the inside of the intake manifold 2. Next, the intercooler 3 is rotated with the piping joint 7 inserted into the piping takeout hole 8 as a starting point, and a cooler body 9 is inserted into the air intake outlet hole 6. By this, the intercooler 3 can be assembled into the intake manifold 2 without dividing the intake manifold 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
