<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for a long-term supply by tube feeding to a cancer patient. <P>SOLUTION: The composition contains: a protein source containing at least 50% milk serum on a calorie content basis, at least 0.5% glutamine on a calorie content basis, and at least 0.8% leucine on a calorie content basis, which supplies 14-25% of the composition; a carbohydrate source making up 20-55% of the composition on a calorie content basis; and a lipid source making up 25-40% of the composition on a calorie content basis. Incidentally, the glutamine accounts for 0.5-10.0% of the composition on a calorie content basis, and the leucine accounts for 0.8-5% of the composition on a calorie contrnt basis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
