<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively respond to targets moving in row. <P>SOLUTION: The flying object includes: a small rocket 100 formed by connecting a rope body 101 with a plurality of dispersing objects arranged therein; a launching direction determining means which determines whether the launching direction of the small rocket 100 crosses a velocity direction thereof; and a rocket launching means which launches the small rocket 100 when it is determined that the launching direction of the small rocket 100 crosses the velocity direction thereof.
