摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking mechanism of a caster capable of simultaneously regulating the turn and rotation of wheels and simultaneously releasing the regulation of the turn and rotation by easily adopting a total lock mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The braking mechanism is mounted at each of four corners at the bottom 2 of a moving article, repulsive forces of kick springs 4 are made to act on operation sections 3a of lock shoes 3 of front and rear casters C on both sides of the bottom 2, and the operation sections 3a are connected to ends of operation rods 5. Each center of the operation rods 5 on both sides is journaled to the bottom 2 of the moving article so as to oscillate. A cam lever 6 is connected to the operation rod 5 on either a side or both sides. By an operation of the cam lever 6, the operation rods 5 are made to oscillate to vertically elevate and lower the lock shoes 3 of the casters C. A lower peripheral end of each of the lock shoes 3 is brought into a separated state from a grounding surface of the wheel 10 of each of the casters C, or brought into a contact state with the grounding surface of the wheel 10 of each of the casters C by a frictional force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
