The present invention refers to a compression tool (100), comprising a base (102) including a base handle portion (109) and a base hinge end (110), the base hinge end (110) having a plurality of gear teeth (138); a receptacle (114) configured to receive and hold an article of food; a lever (104) rotatably coupled to the base (102), the lever (104) including a lever handle portion (111) and a lever hinge end (128) having a plurality of gear teeth (136); and a piston assembly (106) including a bracket assembly (141) and a piston head (120) carried by the bracket assembly (141), the bracket assembly (106) being pivotally coupled to the base hinge end (110) and pivotally coupled to the lever hinge end (128) such that the plurality of gear teeth (136) of the lever (104) engage the plurality of gear teeth (138) of the base (102), the piston head (120) compresses the article of food held in the receptacle (114) when the lever handle portion (111) is moved towards the base handle portion (109) to cause the plurality of gear teeth (136) of the lever (104) to move along the gear teeth (138) of the base (102). |
