PURPOSE: An MBS(Multicast Broadcast Service) data transmission synchronization device and a method thereof are provided to synchronize MBS data transmission by preventing damage to packet data and transmission synchronization information. CONSTITUTION: A packet reception loss confirmation unit(240) determines the loss of a content packet received through a content reception unit. A re-transmission request unit(250) transmits a message requesting the retransmission of the content packet or transmission synchronization information loss from the packet reception loss confirmation unit to an access control router. A transmission time determination unit(260) determines the transmission time of the received content packet based on content time information and the transmission synchronization information. A content transmission unit(270) transmits the received content packet to portable terminals in the transmitted time.
