<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of reducing influences of thermal expansion onto an insulation member. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: a light source part 1 in which one or more light emitting diodes are mounted on a surface of a mounting substrate 10 that is formed into a long plate-like shape; a heat dissipation member 2 at least partially contacting a rear face of the mounting substrate 10; and plural insulation members 3A, 3B formed of an insulation material into a long plate-like shape, aligned in a longitudinal direction of the light source part 1, and interposed between the light source part 1 and the heat dissipation member 2.
