<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out appropriate light distribution control in accordance with travelling situations of a vehicle, with a view to enhancement of visibility and prevention of glare light. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight is structured of a left-side lamp 1A and a right-side lamp 1B positioned at right and left with lamp units 6, 6 arranged inside which are provided with a plurality of semiconductor light-emitting elements 12, 12, ... arrayed in a right and left direction to be put under lighting-on and -off control individually and reflectors 13, 14 equipped with reflecting faces for reflecting light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting elements. The lamp unit is provided with movable shades 15, 15 for shielding part of light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting elements in free movement in a given direction and carrying out control of changing shielding ranges of light in accordance with movement positions, so that, by combining lighting-on and -off control of the semiconductor light-emitting elements and control of the shielding ranges of light by the movable shades, it is made possible to change the light distribution patterns formed by light emitted from the left-side lamp and the right-side lamp, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
