<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive transmission device capable of transmitting an unidirectional rotational drive input from a drive source toward an object to be driven as rotational drive in both of normal and reverse directions, while capable of suppressing the enlargement and complexity of the device, and capable of stopping the transmission of the drive to the object to be driven while the rotational drive from the drive source is input, and to provide a drive device and an image forming apparatus having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A paper delivery drive transmission device 500 includes a first paper discharge gear series 80 to transmit the rotational drive from a first motor 101 to a planetary gear 26, and a second paper discharge gear series 90 to transmit the rotational drive from the first motor 101 to the planetary gear 26 as a rotational drive in a direction opposite to the first paper discharge gear series 80. The planetary gear 26 is rotationally driven to rotate a paper discharge roller 13.
