<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token identification device that can prevent erroneous recognition that a token is supplied due to a fraudulent action of faking the supply of the token. <P>SOLUTION: The token identification device 1 includes: a housing for forming a path where tokens flow down; a photographing part 4 provided with a line sensor 41 in which a part of the path is a photographing range, for generating one-dimensional images of the photographing range at each prescribed photographing interval; and a control circuit for extracting a subject area where an object supplied into the path is projected from each of the plurality of one-dimensional images imaged at each prescribed photographing interval, obtaining the width of the subject area, determining that a token is supplied when the trajectory of the time change of the width of the over the plurality of one-dimensional images matches with the trajectory of the time change of the width of a token on the plurality of one-dimensional images when the token flows down the path, and determining that the fraudulent action is conducted when the trajectory of the time change of the width of the subject area does not match with the trajectory of the time change of the width of the token. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
