<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof insulating cover which is an outer package of a battery can of a secondary battery as an electric power source of an electronic apparatus, has no joint, is reduced in unevenness, has a uniform film thickness, and is excellent in sealability, adhesion and waterproofness. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the waterproof insulating cover uses an immersion molding method, and includes the steps of: immersing the battery can into a solution of a rubber material so that a frontage (electrode side) of the battery can faces downward; subsequently, immersing the entire battery can including a side face and a bottom part of the battery can; and pulling up the entire battery can so that the frontage (electrode side) of the battery can faces downward as it is, or once rotating the battery can and subsequently pulling up the entire battery can so that the frontage (electrode side) of the battery can faces downward. Thereby, the waterproof insulating cover which has no joint, is reduced in unevenness and has a uniform film thickness, can be provided on the whole surface of the battery can including the side face and the bottom part of the battery can. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
